Cork has many fine artisan coffee shops, our coffee culture is rich and vibrant and independent cafes – rather than the globally famous chains – dominate.
Some of the most popular independent coffee cafes in the city include Filter on George’s Quay, Cork Coffee Roasters in two locations at Bridge Street and French Church Street, Alchemy Coffee & Books on Barrack Street, Union Grind on Union Quay and The Bookshelf on the South Mall.
One of the latest arrivals, SOMA Coffee Company on Tuckey Street (just across from the Grand Parade entrance to the English Market) is cool, contemporary and has amazing brews made with beans from local micro-roasters West Cork Coffee.
These are just a selection, you will find more great coffee shops across the city and county as you explore Cork.
