Shandon Sweets

Bulls-Eyes, Bon-Bons, Sherbet Drops & Toffees – Shandon Sweets are the last of the Victorian sweet-makers, consisting of a father and son team who are happy to welcome visitors to their little hand-made sweet factory. Just find their front door under the famous Shandon Bells and ring the doorbell.

A visit to Shandon Sweets is a unique experience for people of all ages. A chance to travel back in time and enjoy a packet of hand made sweets. All the sweets are made on the premises using the same pure ingredients since 1928, Sugar, Sucrose, Syrup and water. All the colours and flavours are natural and the sweets are Gluten Free.

Located in the oldest part of Cork beside the Shandon Steeple the delicious smells fill the air. Come to the gate and ring the bell, Dan or Tony will come to your assistance and help you choose from the wide variety on offer. A Father and Son working together, carrying on the tradition handed down to them.

Originally called The Exchange Toffee Works, this is the only remaining sweet manufacturer still in Cork. It has been in the Linehan Family since the early 1920's and the tradition will continue for years to come
