Stout and Porter Weekend
Friday 16th - Sunday 18th March, Franciscan Well Brewpub, North Mall
Franciscan Well Brewpub will play host to a stout and porter festival over Patrick's weekend. There will be a selection of Irish stouts and porters on cask & draught. A great way to celebrate St Patrick's weekend! Live music will be played through out the day on Patrick's Day.


Grapes, Grains, and Strains
Tuesday 20th March, L'Atitude 51 Wine Cafe
The science behind the flavours in your drink. There are so many beers and wines to choose from these days, but what makes them taste different from each other?  Come along to hear UCC microbiology lecturer John Morrissey talk about how he redesigns yeast to make different flavours, let Franciscan Well beer sommelier, Kate Clancy, guide you through the flavours in your craft beer, and get a taste of some of l'Atitude 51's finest wines, explained to you by their qualified taster.

Cork Coffee Weekend
Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th March
The third Cork Coffee Weekend will take place from March 23 to 25 welcoming people into the world of all things aromatic and blended. Three days of tastings and events in Cork's finest indie coffee shops.

Home Brew Classes
Saturday 24th March, Franciscan Well Brewpub
Have you ever wanted to start home brewing but didn't know where to start? This beginners course will direct you to all the right materials, equipment & ingredients you need to get started. Franciscan Well will also set up a brew club of class members on the day and provide online support for during your first brew. Contact franwellbar@gmail.com for further details. Vegan Brunch
Sunday 25th March, Soma Coffee Company
Banana Melon Kitchen return to Soma Coffee Company this month to bring you an all day vegan brunch. With even better news that it will be happening the last Sunday of every month from here on out.


Easter Beer & Spirit Festival
Thursday 29th - Saturday 31st March, Franciscan Well Brewpub, North Mall
Franciscan Well is set is host up to 20 Irish craft brewers & distillers at its annual Easter Beer Festival in Cork this coming March. Now in its 19th year, the Well’s famous Bavarian style beer tent will house the country’s most innovative brewers including YellowBelly, Kinnegar, Trouble & Torc. With the Franciscan Well’s successful collaboration with Jameson in creating Caskmates Whiskey and the opening of their new cocktail bar, MONK, there will be an added element of craft spirits available at the festival. 


Spirit of the City
Friday 30th March - Sunday 1st April, Cork County Cricket Club
Spirit of the City's authentic traditional style travelling big top will play host to Cork Gin and beer lovers alike. Their fantastic beer garden set in the stunning grounds of the Cork Cricket club gardens is the perfect place to relax, and soak up the sun whilst enjoying some of Cork finest local gins, beers and food. Delicious food served by Bao BoiHans Frankenfurter and Wok & Roll will keep your taste buds satisfied. The Beara distillery is a family-run micro distillery based in the remote location of the Beara Peninsula, West Cork. Producers of Beara Ocean Gin, the team source and forage locally as much of the ingredients as possible to create high quality spirits that are a true reflection of their scenic home place. 

At WASi, they marry the wholesome produce of the land with the vitality of the ocean. Taste of Irish Spirit has also launched a new marmalade called Choccie Marms. It is aimed at children as it contains no alcohol or peel. However, it is still very popular among adults and is available in Supervalu's from next week on.
